Jean Balaise - G.O.D.
NEW CAKE RELEASE #001
From the country of cheese, wine, strikes and riots, the Dutch New Cake label brings you the first full length EP of Jean Balaise, suitably entitled G.O.D. With two previously unreleased tracks and remixes from the likes of Slayer Thrash, Rought Draft and The Good Guys, be ready to be blown away by these French wild guys. In true New Cake style, they're giving their EP away for free!

The elusive duo called Jean Balaise is destined to take the world by storm with their music. They took the wise step to join the Dutch New Cake label, who are now releasing their first EP entitled G.O.D. Their own music is best described by themselves as 'BANG BANG BANNNNNNNNNG BRRRRRAAAAAP BRAAAAAAAP...'. With musical influences ranging from Calvin Klein, Joe Cocker, Patrick Ewing & Captain Planet to The Bloody Beetroots, Cyberpunkers and Danger, they know what they are talking about. Jean Balaise about these inspiring artists: 'We can't really call them inspiration, cause we don't even know what we do while we're making a track.'

Remixes of the track Salauds des Pauvres ('Poor Bastards') are done by Slayer Trash, who tossed an eclectic bassline over the already stomping track, The Good Guys, who took the slightly more minimalistic approach, building the track up nicely, and Amsterdams own local hero, Doctr, spicing the track up with a solid but funky hook. All together, this first New Cake release has that international feel to it that this new label will soon be known for!
